| The 2nd Marker Layout Competition was successfully held with approximately 60 participants recorded. The keen competition attracted a large number of audiences enjoying the show. Even Houjie TV visited and interviewed the event. Thanks to Gerber Technology for their technical support and software & souvenir sponsorship. |

The 2nd Em~Touching – International Embroidery Design Competition
This year, apart from embroidery art, new elements, including hats & finished garments, enriched the fair. 29 pieces of the finals were displayed during the fair. Approximately 1,000 visitors voted for their beloved pieces. The result is as below:

Sewing Technology in Automotive Industry Pavilion
With the rapid growth of sewing technology in automotive industry, a newly launched Sewing Technology in Automotive Industry Pavilion brought the awareness of visitors on the importance of this application by exhibiting the most developed and advanced technology. The pavilion was successfully held with the great support from Pfaff Industrial Hong Kong Co., Ltd., Juki (Hong Kong) Limited and Duerkopp Adler Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
＊Opening Ceremony＊
The Organiser invited Mr. Chen Zhong Qiu, Town Chief of The People’s Government of Houjie Town, Dongguan City, representatives of Associations in China and Hong Kong, representatives of renowned corporate to be the guests of honour in the Opening Ceremony. Their participation obviously showed how much Dongguan Government and the industry valued DTC 2008.

The exhibition hall situated in the middle of the Pearl River Delta, where only an hour should be spent in traveling to and from other important cities of the Pearl River Delta. With the favourable transportation facilities, free shuttle bus service was arranged between the exhibition centre and other important cities, which included the South China Region such as Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Foshan, Huizhou, Junon, Shunde, Panyu, Zencheng and so on, so as to assemble all experts from the textile and clothing industry.
